Rachel’s Closing Thoughts

April 11, 2014 Rachel Cooperberg

As my time at Radius comes to a close, I have had time to sit back and reflect on all that I have learned and the friendships that I have made.

I have been able to interact with every type of employee here at Radius. I have been able to learn a lot and teach others regardless of their tenure here.

My experience at Radius has been unique. My time here has helped me learn and grow tremendously. As the only data analytics intern, I’ve had a lot of freedom. The full time employees have trusted that I know what I am doing and have been there to help me in any way that they can. A lot of what I have been doing has been based on my own knowledge of numbers and analytics and applying what I have learned throughout my education. Application of skills is the best way to instill them within yourself and I have been able to display this in my work.

The culture here at Radius is the perfect balance between “get it done” and casual. While getting work done is an important trait of Radius employees, one does not feel immense pressure from their superiors. Everyone is self motivated which allows the company to have a more relaxed feel.

Having fellow interns has also been one of the highlights of this internship. It has created great resources for collaboration but also great friendships. Working together on intern projects and hearing about the other intern’s progress on their individual projects provides inspiration for my own work.

Ultimately my time here at Radius has proven to be a great stepping stone for the rest of my career. As I make my move to New York City, I will take what I have learned and the friendships that I have made with me. Whenever any of the Radius team happen to be in ”the city” (what us northerners call it) I expect them to let me know so that we can grab coffee/lunch/dinner or all three!
