The Work-Life Balance

At RadiusOnline, it’s not just about working hard and trying to get tasks done.  It’s also about how to maintain your work-life balance. I had the opportunity to spend this past weekend with four colleagues in New Orleans and the trip was unforgettable.

Years ago, my father went to Tulane University, a couple minutes from New Orleans, and I heard stories about the city growing up. I’ve heard about some of what the city has to offer, but experiencing it first hand was truly amazing. The culture, food and spending time getting to know some of my teammates is something that I will never forget about my time in N’awlins.

New Orleans has so much history and many unique things, such as their specialty drinks and food. I never knew what étouffée, jambalaya, gumbo, or po-boys were, but I do now and can say that I like New Orleans cuisine. One of the restaurants we went to was ACME Oyster House. I wasn’t a big fan of oysters before, but now I am. Their chargrilled Parmesan oysters were delicious and changed my view on oysters.

I spent the whole last day in New Orleans at the St. John bayou kayaking, enjoying the music festival, and eating all the local foods.  I couldn’t ask for better weather; it was a nice, hot, sunny day and everyone was having a great time. When we got home my arms were red and we couldn’t tell if it was because of an allergic reaction to seafood or a sunburn. It was definitely sunburn. I forgot to apply sunblock that day. Street-smart rule I learned from this trip was definitely applying a lot of sunscreen.

Work-Life Balance is very important; make the best out of everything and embrace what life brings to you.  Given that reason, I want to share a short video in which I found relevant and also inspiring.

It would be nice if you can spare 7 mins of your day to watch this video.

I’m sure that you will love it.
Have a great week ahead at RadiusOnline, and remember to wear sunscreen.
