Each class of interns at RadiusOnline completes an intern project that is entirely their own. A few years ago, the intern team thought it would be a good idea to start an intern blog. The purpose of the blog was for the interns to share their experience of working at RadiusOnline in a nutshell. The blog was a huge success, but over the few years of its existence the design became outdated. With a huge help from our design intern Andy, we decided to re-brand the intern blog and totally give it a new look.
Improvements to the blog include:
1. New team: In the past, each new team of interns came up with their own group name. “The A Team” and “Duo Don’t” are some examples just to name a few. Our team name is RadiusRockets, which we used as inspiration for the new web design. To keep branding consistent with the new website, it was decided that “RadiusRockets” would be the new name for the internship program as a whole.
2. New logo: With rebranding came a new logo. By creating a logo for the RadiusRockets, our hope was to establish the intern blog as its own creation while using the colors to tie back into the RadiusOnline theme. After many group brainstorming sessions, our awesome graphic design intern Andy created this logo. It represents the blog and the internship program as a whole. Here it is:
3. New design: Just like our team name, the new website design was inspired by an astronomical theme. Andy used a mix of outer-space photos and the RadiusOnline green to promote our fast-paced work ethic along with our out-of-the-box way of thinking. The design is sleek, simple, and easy to navigate.
4. New content: Since the blog is mainly used as a resource for recruitment, we created a “Join Us” page. On the page you’ll find a little more information about what we do at RadiusOnline, a video of what our internship looks like, and a link to current internship applications.
